| "Le Grenier" meaning attic or loft
is a large self contained first floor flat which
has been tastefully renovated out of the granary
above "La Maison Neuve" a former working
dairy farm. "Le Grenier" a family sized
gite sleeps 8. Both bedrooms and the living room
have timbered ceilings with exposed original oak
beams. A wide staircase leads to an open plan
kitchen/breakfast room. Off this room is a toilet/shower
room. The living room is large and comfortably
furnished including a double sofa bed. It is refreshingly
cool during the day and yet warm at night. The
two double sized bedrooms sleep 6 with the main
room having a double bed and the other room 1
set of bunk beds and two single beds.
La Maison Neuve dates from the last century and
is now owned by an English family who emigrated
from Cornwall in 1991. The property is surrounded
by farmland which is crisscrossed with tracks
and lanes, making it ideal countryside for walking
and bike riding.
Relax outside and in the grounds. Take a day
out to the beach, the golf club, the local market
and then come back and relax in the grounds. A
little bread, cheese and wine in a year round
micro-climate make this an opportunity not to
be missed. You may even want to leave and live
here as well! |
